OUR MISSION

Our mission is to provide you with quality cabinetry at a reasonable price.  We will do so by meeting with you to discuss your objectives then transfer your wishes to a layout drawn to scale and priced to you in a reasonable length of time.  We are your 'one stop' after-market cabinet shop.  We also have vendors who can match the style of any existing cabinet hardware and match your existing countertops.

Our CABINET SHOP features the full line of (Cardell) cabinetry in fine finished hardwoods of Alder, Cherry, Hickory, Maple, Oak and Parawood (a South American very durable hardwood) with the addition of Rustic Knotty in selected door styles.  The large selection of door styles and accessories is offered in standard stains, designer stains/glazes and paint finishes which will match any decor in your home or office.  Each wood species and color comes in a range of available door styles.  The numerous color choices, with lacquer finishes, will accent your kitchen, baths, china hutch, entertainment center, laundry room or office with a luxurious beauty.  We proudly sell, deliver and can arrange for the install of your cabinetry and back it with Cardell's manufacturer warranty.  Our prices are often less than you would pay at Home Depot and Lowes.  Our quality is usually better, especially when you "compare apples to apples".

We also deliver.  When we provide you with our estimate we separate the delivery charges so that you can choose to pick up your cabinets, when they arrive, or pay us to deliver them to you.

Like Home Depot, Lowes and others, we do not install cabinets but we have a list of professional installers who can  install your cabinets for you.  If you prefer to install them yourself we will gladly work with you and assist you with pointers or we can help you install them to save even more.  To learn more, read on.

One of the reasons that The Cabinet Shop is here is to fill a unique market niche.  All across the Valley of the Sun and around the State of Arizona Cardell Cabinetry has been installed in new homes during the construction phase.  In fact, hundreds of new homes are built every month here in the Greater Phoenix Metropolitan area which have had Cardell  installed in them.  Many folks find that the distributor who worked with their builder will not deal directly with the homeowner when they want to add cabinets or make changes to the cabinetry in their home.  Naturally, people want to match their existing cabinetry.  We are here to fill that 'after-the-sale' void.  We will work with you to meet your cabinet needs.  No order is neither too small nor too big.  We welcome your business.

While you cannot add additional cabinets to your home during the construction phase many people come to us while their home is being built when they want to add options to suit their lifestyle when the options they want are not available through their builder.  We will meet with you in your new home during the construction stage to discuss your wishes and order your additional cabinets for you so that they are here soon after you take possession of your new home.  Since we are a fully authorized Cardell Cabinetry dealer we can match your original cabinet selections.

QUALITY

Quality wise, Cardell Cabinetry  is the 'best bang for your buck'.  There are three levels of quality when it comes to cabinets.  Well four, when you take into consideration custom made cabinets.  If you have to ask the price you can't afford custom.  Quality rwise, cabinets range from 'Good', 'Better' and 'Best".  Prices, naturally, go from 'less expensive' to 'affordable' to 'more expensive' respectfully.  The quality of Cardell Cabinetry is in the lower end of the 'Best' category.  The price of Cardell Cabinetry, however, is about in the center of the 'Better' range.

SALES

The sales process here at THE CABINET SHOP is a simple one that is designed to make your cabinet purchasing experience an easy one for you with as little effort on your part as possible.  We value your time, yet we appreciate your business.

Once you contact us we will arrange to meet with you at your home or office.  We will come to you and discuss what you want to accomplish with your cabinetry and tell you about options which are available to make your cabinets as functional for you as you wish.  Once we formulate your ideas we will put them down on paper in a rough-drawn layout.  We will then return to our office and transfer your layout into one drawn per scale and add the cabinet nomenclature in order to turn your ideas into an order for cabinets.  We will then go directly to 'Cardell Connect' and enter your cabinet sizes and parts list for immediate pricing.  Cardell Connect is a program available only to authorized providers of Cardell.  We actually log-on to Cardell's pricing computers at the factory in San Antonio, TX, and get the latest in pricing for your cabinet order.

When we have completed the pricing process we will notify you via phone, email, mail or FAX.  Your pricing will be complete for your purchase of the cabinets you want including materials, freight from Cardell to YeeHawww and sales taxes.  Unlike some places who sell cabinets we will separate your freight charges from your sales price.  According to Arizona you do not have to pay sales tax on freight charges.  Taking a few minutes of our time to separate freight charges will save you a few more bucks.  If you wish, we can also break your estimate down into different options which you may wish to consider.

The layout, with complete cabinet nomenclature, will remain the property of YeeHawww until after you purchase your cabinets.  At that time, if you wish, we will give you a copy of the layout.  A copy of the layout will be given to you along with the delivery of your cabinets or when you come to pick them up.

Perhaps you do not have Cardell  in your home now,  but are looking to replace your cabinets.  We have found our prices for new cabinets often to be competitive with re-facing your old cabinets.

There is a minimal 'Trip Charge' of $75.00 for us to visit your home or office and initiate a layout.  That fee is credited back to you when you order your cabinets.

Since selecting cabinetry to your specifications and desires the process can't be done through picking cabinets off a website.  We do not list or price cabinets here.  There are so many variables, available options, styles, wood choices and stains that it is impossible to do so.  That's why letting us do the work for you is our pleasure.  When you visit our showroom we will still come to your place to take accurate measurements and draw a layout for you.  We want your cabinet buying experience to be an effortless and fun one for you.  We covet your business and your satisfaction.

DELIVERY

You have choices in how your cabinets are delivered from our place of business to your home or office.  We offer a delivery service to anywhere in the Valley of the Sun and throughout the state.  You can also arrange to pick up your cabinets here at The Cabinet Shop once they arrive.

We will give you the Delivery Fee costs when we send you the pricing for your cabinet order.  You can choose whether to have us deliver them or not.  Delivery Fees are also non-taxable.  If you have us deliver your cabinets you will pay us directly for the Delivery Fee when we arrive at your home or office with your cabinets.

COUNTERTOPS

& ACCESSORIES

As your 'one-stop' full service cabinet shop The Cabinet Shop can also handle your need for countertops as well as cabinet accessories, such as knobs and the like.

If you are using a wood top in an area such as a desk area or built-in entertainment center your wood top will be ordered directly from Cardell along with your cabinets.  It will then have matching wood species, stain and finish.

We also use Lee's Quality Countertops as our countertop vendor.  Lee's can match practically any kind of top you would choose.  They, like we, service Valley Wide as well as around the state.  We are often told that when our customers arrange for their tops through us they often save 10-12% over estimates elsewhere.  Lee's handles all types of laminate (Formica and the like), ceramic tile, corian, granite and other types of tops.

Our wholesale vendor for cabinet accessories and hardware is Clyde Hardware here in Phoenix.  Clyde Hardware only sells to other businesses, not to the public.  Their selection of cabinet hardware and accessories is endless.  We can match your existing hardware in most cases.

INSTALLATION

The Cabinet Shop does not install cabinets.  We do have a list of qualified professional installers and will, if you want us to, fax your layout to one of them or to an installer of your choice.  You are also welcome to install your own cabinets.  We will be glad to give you some pointers.

If you choose to have a professional installer install your cabinets you will pay him directly.  Once we fax your layout to him he will price it for installation costs.  Your professional installer will also carry the workmanship warranty on your cabinet installation. 

If you want to install your own cabinets and/or pick them up at our place of business here in the Phoenix , Arizona area you can eliminate the related delivery and installation costs.  If you want us to help you with installing your cabinets yourself, rather than use a professional cabinet installer, you can also reduce installation fees accordingly.

Our owner, Dick Bartels, is well known in the cabinet field in the Greater Phoenix Metro Area.  He has worked as Field Superintendent for MasterCraft, beginning in 1991.  He was also Field Superintendent for a combined twelve years at Builder's Choice Cabinetry and Adam's Bros Interiors and Cabinets, both Cardell Cabinetry  distributors to new home builders.  His position with these companies put him in charge of field operations in the area for which he was responsible while supervising, often times, over 100 cabinet installations per month.  Dick's rapport with area builders is winning him the recommendation as the 'after-market' vendor for area homeowners who had Cardell installed during the construction of their new home.
