STAGECOACH
with or without Quartz Clock
Movement Insert

Click Thumbnail to enlarge
Until the introduction of the Railroad into American
culture the Stagecoach was one of the main forms of
transportation for people, mail and small packages.
Not only was it used to help settle the West but the
Stagecoach was used, to a lesser degree, to haul people
and mail from town to town back East.
This replica of the
Stagecoach is approximately 14 1/2" long, 7 1/2" tall
and 6 1/4" wide. It features operating
wheels, brake lever and brakes, tongue and reach,
opening doors (one is removed to accommodate a quartz
clock movement insert) and leather strap suspension
system which allows the coach to 'rock' back and forth
on the chassis as in days of yore. On the top of
the coach it has a driver's sleeping roll, two sacks,
two trunks and the 'shotgun rider's' seat. Other
features include a whip, shotgun, cloth cover for the
rear luggage boot and red cloth covered seats in the
inside.
The 2 1/4" battery
operated Quartz Clock Movement Insert is fitted into one
side of the coach. The movement is easily removed
to adjust the time or to change the single 'N' sized
battery. The battery is not included and can be
purchased at Wal-Mart or similar retail stores.
