MINER'S WAGON with or without Clock

Miner's Wagon

Much of the Old West was settled as mining camps and towns were built.  Most often a man, with his family, would put down his 'grub' stakes' on a piece of land and register it with the nearby mining claims office as his claim.  Some miners lived nearby in a town while the majority of them lived in a portable shack on his claim.  A mining claim was not eligible for building a permanent residence on it.  The staking of the claim gave the miner rights to the minerals on or under the claim.

One of the old stand-bys during the mining days was the Miner's Wagon which carried his tools to his mine and his ore back home with him.  The wagon usually doubled as the transportation for him and his family.

This replica of the Miner's Wagon is approximately 20" long, 6" tall and 7 1/2"  wide.  It features operating wheels, brake lever and brakes, and a tongue and reach.  Attached to sides of the wagon is a water barrel.  I also features a ladder, wheel barrow, sifting screen, two shovels, a pick, dynamite charger with operating plunger, fifteen sticks of dynamite, ore carrier, two bags, maul, shotgun, whip and leather pouch.

The Miner's Wagon can be purchased with or without a Quartz clock movement.  Use the correct Add to Cart button below to make your selection.  The wagon with the clock movements has a 1 7/16" battery operated Quartz movement which is mounted between the seat and water barrel.  The movement is easily removed to adjust the time and replace the #377 button battery.  Battery is not included and can be purchased at Wal-Mart or similar retail stores.

Note:  The Miner's Wagon is not currently a stock item.  It will take approximately a week to ten days for us to receive it from our vendor.  If you are purchasing it with a quartz clock movement add another few days for us to install the movement.  For this reason we will wave your $10.00 shipping charge to offset your inconvenience for the short production delay on this item.
